Engineering Manager: Kubernetes Marketplace Platform
CoreWeave is a specialized cloud provider focused on GPU accelerated use cases including VFX, AI/ML, Batch Processing and Real Time Experiences. We support countless AI/ML services in the text to image, NLP and broader AI/ML space, reducing client’s infrastructure management requirements with our Kubernetes based serverless GPU cloud offerings.

CoreWeave’s customers are among the most innovative technology companies in the world and CoreWeave’s role is to enable that innovation with our best-in-class hardware and platforms. For many of our customers, focusing on the boilerplate of distributed applications is a distraction away from their core business. CoreWeave’s answer for this challenge is the Marketplace Team. Through platform development and application packaging, the Marketplace Team is able to enable our customers to have turnkey solutions to some of their most common operational challenges and instead focus on their core businesses. This team is responsible for platform development, test planning, orchestration, and any attendant integrations for a Kubernetes native software marketplace including the engineering of operators, CRDs, helm charts, and OS images.
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Marketplace Team to help us build this specialization from the ground-up. This individual will grow and guide a new team of 5-8 engineers from the early steps of team cohesion and discovery into a high performing group of servant-leaders. As the Manager of this team you would have the opportunity to:
- Drive the culture and tone for how your team keeps score both in how they support each other and how they enable the rest of CoreWeave.
- Support your people and create opportunities for them to be challenged and grow.
- Develop a customer-centric mindset, perform regular needs analysis and prioritization, create and deliver roadmaps, and maintain a highly available set of services.
- Work directly with other engineering teams to assess needs and guide their implementations and integrations with your team’s platforms.
- Implement processes and standards to achieve a highly mature practice of testing, orchestration and platform delivery to guarantee a first-class customer experience.

- You have six or more years of experience in a software or infrastructure engineering industry.

- You have some prior experience with virtualization image development and delivery.
