Justworks is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager that goes deep on technology capabilities and broad on business impact for our Benefits teams. This role will focus on building the foundation to enable our benefits teams to standardize and simplify their work. You’ll be accountable for shaping and executing a vision and strategy informed by the needs of the business, key stakeholders and partners, customers, and your past experience to help Justworks product teams build better, faster, and smarter.

  • Drive product development across the scope of Benefits—this covers work to make engineers and designers more effective, shared functionality that can be used across product lines, APIs that enable partner experiences, and data products that help our business gain insights to use in our decision making process
  • Lead the strategy, vision, and roadmap for our Benefits Platform, ensuring alignment with the overall objectives of the broader benefits org, other product teams within the business, and wider organizational goals.
  • Ensure the team and colleagues know what’s important, when we’re shipping, and why we’re saying yes and no to initiatives.
  • Drive alignment on initiatives with stakeholders, ensuring the business bought in on why we are making the investments we are.
  • Develop a rigorous, data-driven product culture across a growing team, ensuring that craft is balanced with customer obsession and business orientation
  • Work across functions of the Justworks business to uncover and identify opportunities to amplify their efforts
  • Operate at different altitudes—from mapping data extraction, to high level business metrics and goals - and everything in between.
  • Define and measure OKRs that align with Justworks’ broader business objectives
  • Keep stakeholders engaged and informed around progress
  • Partner with Design and Engineering leads to help grow and expand the team cross functionally

As a Senior Technical Product Manager, Benefits, how results are achieved is paramount for your success and ultimately result in our success as an organization. In this role, your foundational knowledge, skills, abilities and personal attributes are anchored in the following competencies:

  • Customer focus - You seek to deeply understand the jobs-to-be-done of your customers - internal and external - and can turn that understanding into customer-centric solutions.
  • Business insight - You think two months, two quarters, and two years into the future simultaneously. Your roadmaps help business leaders make effective decisions about tradeoffs and prioritization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of Product Management experience
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts including systems design, data architecture and the like
  • Experience with building APIs for private/public consumption, data products/pipelines, or design systems
  • Ability to move fluidly between technical capabilities, partner needs/requirements, user experience as well as the ability to go deep into the details
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities, form compelling business cases, and gain stakeholder buy-in
  • Strong communication skills - managing internal, external, and developer expectations and capabilities via writing, presentations, and other artifacts
  • Ability to navigate business objectives and translate technical projects into business KPIs
  • CS or other technical degree preferred but not required

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $165,000.00 to $181,500.00 per year.
